The Aveterriat in E7903

By the year 7903, the Aveterriat have been space faring for three millennia.

Development and General Tech

In that time, they have gained a vast population, they are easily the most populous species in the region. They don't use much automata, if anything they have used automata for managerial activities. They have augments and specialized constructs for a vast range of tasks and usecases that have built up over the millennia of constant building, but they mostly avoid the use of automata. Other civs in the region regularly use automata, but this usually only gets them to parity with the sheer force of population the Aveterriat manage. For an advanced civilization, the average Aveterriat only lives about a century. They used to only live an average of twenty years, but long lifespans are not a concern of theirs as a belief in reincarnation is widespread among their kind.

The Aveterriat additionally have millions of factions that have at best a confederation or super-association and so lack the unity to be a real threat but this applies to most civilizations in the architectural expanse. Mind, that count includes all the self-sufficient asteroid microcolonies made back then the goal of colonization was having backups due to the burner incident back in epoch 6770.

However

Their tech still is very daunting

As it includes microgravity fields and space time compression/stretching in ways that allow them to evade attacks, emergency boost production, create feats of gravity garden engineering that Aveterriat world states are often built on, with some actually being microworlds with recursive layers like some primitive version of a sprawl world.

The Aveterriat interestingly enough still use particle weapons, even if those particles include smart particles that can diffuse into all matter of horrific scattering and radioactive pulses.

However the advantages in military tech don't seem that much better than what may be seen with the prospect spacers. Their innovations in megastructure and antigravity along with refinement on the crude chaotic versions of the tech that prospect spacers or plexus use is where their actual edge lies. They have RKMs and pulse beams that simply function better and can do behaviors like redirect or bend in fashions that are hard for someone to even comprehend without understanding the ways they've gamed out distorting, bending and tilting space time to their advantage.

Their cultures are mostly peaceful but the wars that have broken out have been unfathomably destructive due to the casual use of close range RKM "stabs" and hyperspatial ambushes, along with simply the inertial dampening they have being obscenely good.

Postbiological Aveterriat Clades

Biotech and body modification appears to have been of great interest for the aveterriat. For they augment their nudists and machinists for various caste and task roles to further specialize their kind in a diverse range of fashions. There even were breakaway clades like the Wisps or the Ovatarian Aveterriats before the rise of the Custodians as postbiological existence became more common.

A few specific instances include:

• Many determiner algorithm colonies have the same ethnicities as the protectorate didn't do the kind of species identity projects Humans did, the protectorate was formed to preserve Aveterriat cultures if anything.
• The long confederacy still developed an interstellar class of more heterogenous Aveterriat who allocated to different world states based on local needs or to cover for missing castes in a disaster as per the pact which the long confederacy abides. They usually have many 'nudist' aveterriat and 'machinist' Aveterriat .
• The Vmiskii Empire's Aveterriat are heterogenous and identify to the Vmiskii identity instead of to determiner world states or local rogue receder groups those world states often end up having. They usually are in a shell construct, with a more atypically qualitative approach than their more strength-in-numbers peers present.
• Receders are Aveterriat populations in the depths of ancient world states that follow sub-determiners made by breakaway castes, they have very distinctive forms optimized for near pitchblack life. For instance, there have been populations found with heads that resemble a dish and frills instead of antennae. And other forms that a more common Aveterriat clade morphology would find uncanny.
• The Architectural Aveterriat, who build in antimass laden superstructures have self modified themselves for the kind of living they go by, with spindly abstract limbs optimized for volumetric and hyperspatial architecture navigation.

To give a specific example of how extreme this gets, glance at two worlds: The Yguuli System and Linuv.

The Yguuli System

At Yguuli, there are vast swarms of aveterriat cloistered in virtual collectives in the rings of the protoplanetary disk around Yguuli, millions upon millions of co-interacting recursivists who colonized the meters sized components of the ring system in one of the proto-custodial ventures. These colonies make the protoplanetary disk glow in a lattice of swarming activity of interlocking world states who also work with the antigravity continents that are hovering in the skylines of the primordial gas giant in the system.

Their commodity appears to be kinetics and virtual labor, to maximalize the works with intricate engravings and seemingly impossible contortions of the cloudscapes and ring systems to show their impact on the cosmos, to attune to the cosmos their grand works and win the game of existence itself. Numerous semiotic arrangements of artificial gravitational interactions have been carved into the planetary disk as well. Despite all these elements, it would be a locality still confused for natural phenomena by a 21st century human astronomer peering at it from thousands of lightyears away.

Linuv

Linuv is a world notable for having floating continental plates to flaunt a feat of antigravity geomagnetic engineering. Such questionable use of massive amounts of antigravity mass has allowed for mantle access, where the tireless strip mining of Linuv's mantle continues by the high ranking machinist Aveterriat who got the privilege to work themselves to death at Linuv (they believe in reincarnation).

The massive population of architect denizens here are enrolled to learn to labor on the continental shelf as they see the professionals do their work and demonstrate that work so their current incarnations can too labor as great as they. The multi species collaboration has logistical hurdles but none that couldn't be overcome through sheer will of spirit and the use of the working shells endemic to Aveterriat dominant societies. The Linuvian model of multi species labor has been of interest to other factions within the region as something which shows and demonstrating the true universality of reincarnation (which has put them at odds with sects that only believe that the Aveterriat can reincarnate).

That probably will be it on the Aveterriat for now, maybe more drawings of them will happen. However, next week most likely will focus on a different subject matter because there's a whole galaxy out there!
